Pizza festivals are becoming a big deal! Just a few years ago they were scattered and disconnected but that’s all changing right before our eyes. Here’s a list of pizza festivals you might want to check out this summer and beyond:
June 20 – Sept 3 Long Island City Pizza Festival (Queens)
The 10-week event will feature a curated selection of the most recognized Pizzaioli in the world. All profits from the festival will be donated to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City.

Enjoy pizza and craft beer at this event that raises funds for the Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden

Aug 19 San Francisco Pizza, Bagel, and Beer Festival
Pizza wizard Tony Gemignani has assembled 40 purveyors of all your favorite carbs for this 1-day event. Proceeds support several charities, including Slice Out Hunger. (FROM SCOTT: “Special bonus, I’ll be at this one!”)
