We’ll tell you where to meet us based on your group size, date, and tour time. Our tours always visit neighborhoods that are pizza-dense, pizza-delicious, and pizza-diverse.
Your guide does more than just escort you to pizzerias, they take you behind the scenes for complete explanations of each slice! We keep our fingers on the pulse of the pizza world by constantly visiting new spots both in NYC and beyond AND by participating in pizza industry events. We are literally professional pizza nerds.
To book a private your, start by clicking the “Request a Tour” button and fill out the form with any information you have. Don’t worry if your headcount changes or you decide to switch from a walking tour to a bus tour, we can make those changes before you confirm.

we’re kinda famous
(so we're told)
Scott took Ryan Seacrest on a NYC pizza tour to Brooklyn!
Scott has forgotten more about pizza than most people have ever known!
Soggification
The softening of a crust due to moisture. A casualty of transporting pizza in boxes but also found after Neapolitan pizza sits for over 5 minutes.
Faqs
This all depends on group size, day of week, time of day, and makeup of the group. Once we know a little bit about your crew we can select the neighborhood that fits best. You’ll meet us at a central pizzeria in that neighborhood and we’ll go from there! We’ll let you know the meeting location a few days before the tour. It’s likely we’ll meet you in the West Village, East Village, or Greenwich Village if we’re touring in Manhattan. It will probably be either Williamsburg or Downtown Brooklyn if we’re in Brooklyn.
It all depends on your tour area. If we decide to meet you in the East Village, we’ll hit a variety of pizzerias within walking distance. If we do Williamsburg, Brooklyn we’ll stick to that neighborhood. Your guide will select the pizzerias based on your group, so every tour is customized!
While we don’t offer a walking tour that comes with alcohol pairings at each stop, we can do our best to route you to pizzerias with liquor licenses. You’ll be able to add alcoholic drinks along the way, which we can add to your final invoice. The reason we don’t offer a walking tour with alcoholic beverage pairings is that we can’t guarantee all stops within a walkable area have both excellent pizza AND worthy wine lists. With bus tours, we have more flexibility.
YES! When we stop at restaurant, we get a table. When we stop a slice shops, we stand up and eat the way nature intended.
No! We organize our tours to avoid long lines and cold slices. All pizzas are ordered based on their respective bake times, so we’re never waiting more than a few minutes for a fresh pie.
We sit down in each pizzeria (unless we stop at a slice shop), so you’ll be in there for 30-40 minutes. Beyond simply feeding you delicious pizza, your guide will also take you on a kitchen tour at most stops.
Let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate your gluten free, vegan, vegetarian pizza buddies. We can’t guarantee we’ll have pizza for them at every stop, but we’ll do our best to make sure they’re well fed. Food for those with dietary restrictions is not included in your tour’s base cost so we’ll add those charges to your final invoice.
Walking tours max out at about 1 mile. All the pizzerias we visit will be within a short walk of one another. We adjust based on weather and on the needs of our group.
We max out our walking tour groups at 16 people. If your group is larger than that, please let us know and we may be able to figure out a solution.
These are the busiest nights at pizzerias so we try not to tour Fridays or Saturdays after 6pm. If your group is small (under 9 people) it may be possible! We definitely don’t tour with large groups on Friday and Saturday nights.
We don’t like to start earlier than 11:30am or later than 7pm for a walking tour. It’s unlikely we’ll run a tour on Friday or Saturday nights unless the group is very small and we feel confident we’ll be able to maneuver properly on busy nights at the pizzerias. It’s extremely important that we only run tours at times that work best for the overall experience.
We don’t know the exact ending location until about 1-2 hours into your tour, but it’s likely the final pizzeria will be within a 20 minute walk from your meeting point.
OF COURSE! Bonus points for pizza-shaped desserts.
Our tours are a deep dive into pizza history, science, and culture so there really isn’t time to include additional stops. We promise there’s more than enough pizza action to fill the entire tour! That being said, we’re happy to point you in the direction of any non-pizza sites and sounds you’re interested in checking out after the tour.
The majority of our tour guests are locals! This isn’t just a tour that takes you to pizzerias, it takes you INSIDE the pizza experience by educating your group about the history, science, and culture of pizza. Even if we visit a pizzeria you’ve already been to, you’ll see it from a completely new perspective. You don’t have to take our word for it, just check out our reviews and see for yourself!
We’re happy to hear your requests but it’s entirely up to your guide to route the tour in a way they think will best suit your group. If the pizzerias you’re interested in visiting aren’t in the same neighborhood, your guide will take your requests as inspiration!
We’ve done tons of corporate outings and team-building events and the response has been incredible. Rather than sit for a long meal at a single restaurant, a pizza tour lets your colleagues, family, or friends mix and mingle at multiple pizzerias. Pizza is the ultimate conversation starter so you’ll learn more about your colleagues than you ever have before!
Our tours stick to specific neighborhoods within NYC that feature pizza density, pizza diversity, and pizza deliciousness. If you’d like to request a customized walking tour beyond, it will carry a customization charge. We sometimes offer pop-up tours in other cities so stay tuned to our social media channels for that!
