They discuss how a simple tour business can uncover the connection between taste and location, and pizza’s power for good. Scott and Ilir first met at John’s Pizzeria right after the launch of Ilir’s new pizzeria marketing platform, then called My Pizza. They’ve been collaborators for years, but this is the first time they’ve had a chance to sit down and chat in years.
With plenty of great pizza podcasts out there, you’d wonder why we need another. “How You Slice It” approaches the topic from a human angle rather than from that of food science or marketing. The host, Slice founder Ilir Sela, has a family of over 30 pizza operators. He truly cares about independent pizzerias and want them to have the same advantages of global chains.
