If you missed my live webinar about correcting common NYC (and beyond) pizza myths, fear not! Here’s a link to watch the entire thing. This was hosted by GANYC, the Guides Association of New York City. It’s a member organization for NYC tour guides to promote education and foster relationships and collective energy for the needs of the city’s educators. They were kind enough to honor National Pizza Month by inviting their members, food journalists, and really anyone with an interest.
The main part of the presentation is about 60 minutes long, followed by an additional 60 minutes of Q&A with Stephanie Swane (Modernist) and Peter Regas (PizzaHistoryBook.com). The presentation is loaded with primary sources, images, documents, and of course there’s some hypothesizing as well.
We go into some of this information on our New York City pizza tours, but this presentation has way more depth than we have time for on a typical tour.
